As you all know by now, the three kidnapped boys were found murdered. It was determined that they had been killed very shortly after their abduction. This set off a series of events which leads us to the present situation–Operation Protective Edge. Below is an update from Baruch:
UPDATE on the current events in Israel: Operation Protective Edge— Israel must bring about the end the Palestinian aggression upon our citizens. Rocket attacks and Hamas militants entering Israel through tunnels cannot be allowed to take place. The only way to achieve this is the absolute destruction of Hamas. The two things that trouble the most is the constant discussion of a cease fire, without any basis for such an agreement, and that Israel must empower Abu Mazen, the PA leader, to also be the responsible person in Gaza. This call to assist Abu Mazen by most of Israeli leaders and the world community, is taking place while he is accusing Israel of war crimes. How can anyone believe that Abu Mazen is a “real partner” for peace? Prior to this conflict, Abu Mazen’s political party Fatah joined in unity with Hamas. The proper understanding of this is that Abu Mazen is not part of the solution, but a major problem for Israel. He has delivered none of the promises he agreed to Israel. Let no one forget that it was the same Abu Mazen who promised years ago that under his leadership Gaza would be demilitarized. The specific agreement was based upon an early one which the United States brokered:
- Except for the arms, ammunition and equipment of the Palestinian Police described in Annex I, Article III, and those of the Israeli military forces, no organization or individual in the Gaza Strip and the Jericho Area shall manufacture, sell, acquire, possess, import or otherwise introduce into the Gaza Strip or the Jericho Area any firearms, ammunition, weapons, explosives, gunpowder or any related equipment, unless otherwise provided for in Annex I.
During the LoveIsrael.org conference, Baruch will give a special lesson on this conflict between Hamas and Israel. This special presentation will be during Saturday night’s session. This session has been especially prepared for those who may not be able to attend any of the other sessions. Please invite others to be there on September 20, at 7:00 pm.
